The „Ax“ Chair, an icon designed in 1947 by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, produced by Fritz Hansen, Denmark, in the 1960s. This particular models feature the old „Thonet“ Production Sticker undearneath – most probably Thonet was the distributor in the early days.
This timelessly elegant model has a seat and backrest made of bent, laminated teak. The frame and legs are made of laminated beech with solid teak inlay. Despite the solid wood design, this is a very comfortable lounge chair. Very good original condition.
